Networking on Board the Friendship in Salem Harbor

By the way, did you know I had coffee on the deck of the Friendship yesterday?

The Salem Chamber of Commerce held a breakfast meeting on board the Friendship. It was ideal for networking, and I met Colleen Bruce of the National Park Service, one of the prime movers in building the ship. Jennifer Bell, the manager of the Main Steets program to promote downtown, Patricia Trapp of the National Park Service made a presentation regarding the plans for the voyages and educational efforts of the Friendship. The ship is very much a part of the community, not only as a symbol and favorite tourist stop; but also as a venue for special events and as an active ship participating in racing events and tall ships and educational programs for youth.
