The most wonderful events, next to the birth of a human child or grandchild, are the birth of puppies...and the bittersweet moment when the eight-week-old puppy leaves with the new owner.

Dog people focus on their dogs, obsess about their dogs, talk about their dogs, and are at risk for not having any friends who don't have dogs. But it wouldn't matter because it seems like their dog is the only friend that matters. And that is as it should be.
